Bungalow Media will be launching two fantastic new products in the coming weeks. Make sure to keep an eye out for them (and sign up for our newsletter if you'd like to be notified once they're released! Click here to sign up.).

The first of these products is an inspiring fictional story about a boy in 1930's Oklahoma who finds joy in outwitting relentless dust storms to save his family's farm. The story itself mixes the honesty of a down-n-out John Steinbeck novel with all of the hope and awe and magic of a Frank Capra movie. But more importantly, though this story we examine the age-old question "does faith really help anyone?" Bungalow Media will release the product in book format for retail stores, as well as in electronic format for download through Amazon, iTunes, and Audible.com.

The second product is a series of fictional western adventure stories for kids inspired specifically by Chapter 3 of the biblical book of Proverbs. It is also planned for release in book format, as well as electronic format for download through Amazon, iTunes, and Audible.com.

In the meantime, be sure to check out Bungalow Media's recent release - Volume 1 of the "Parables from Pop Culture" Christian inspiration series. The product is distributed by the fine folks at RPI. Visit the official Parables from Pop Culture product page by clicking here, or read the following sneak peek of each of the episodes.

Parables From Pop Culture

Episode 1: The Tornado Proof House
PRAYER AND THE PEACE IT PRODUCES DURING TROUBLING TIMES.

Synopsis: The destructive force of tornadoes can rip houses from their foundations and throw heavy objects like cars for hundreds of feet. But one man named Buckminster Fuller designed a strange-looking house called the "Dymaxion Dwelling Machine" which was immune from the destructive force of tornadoes because of its unconventional design. In the same way, God has designed us to withstand severe pressure. See how!

Episode 2: Saved By Road Signs:
THE POWER OF THE BIBLE AND ITS EFFECT ON OUR LIVES WHEN WE READ IT.

Synopsis: Words are a powerful influence of change. This was true when a man named Allen Odell saved his dad's "Burma Shave" company from financial ruin by creating a series of silly rhyming signs along America's two-lane highways. Though critics said it would never work, the plain-english words written on these low-tech signs created a national marketing frenzy that sold millions of jars of shaving cream. Similarly, God has powerful words that will change us in amazing ways, if only we'll quit listening to those who scoff. See how!

Episode 3: Glorious Radio Signals:
HOW GOD SPEAKS TO US AND HOW TO BETTER HEAR HIS VOICE.

Synopsis: Radio signals are in the air all around us. However, we can't hear those signals unless we have the right detection equipment. Hear the story of one man who created the art of broadcasting and thrilled patient listeners with the magic of his radio signals through simple equipment. Similarly, God is always speaking to us. But we often can't hear His voice because we don't understand how to most easily detect it. Learn the simplest way to detect His voice!

Episode 4: Hollywood’s Strangest Twist
How to find contentment with life

Synopsis: For most, the name "Hollywood" conjures up images of a golden land of palm trees filled with enough celebrity mischief to fill thousands of tabloids. But this is nothing like the Hollywood that was imagined by its founders, Harvey and Daeida Wilcox. In 1887, this prohibitionist couple from Kansas established the town of Hollywood as a quiet and respectable place free from saloons, gambling, and movie houses. But because of one little problem, plans had to change. In the same way, God created the world to be a place of simplicity and contentment for his children, but we've made it a place of complexity and discontent. Learn how God still allows us to find contentment in his world through a simple practice.
