Thanks for stopping by! While you’re in the neighborhood, here are Geoff’s suggestions for other “creativity” links you might find interesting: | |

For starters, nothing fuels creativity better than a mind filled with hope and inspiration. And speaking from experience, if you want to be more creative, find and join a church that fills you with hope and inspiration weekly! Here’s a link to the best church in the world: Journey Christian Church in Irvine, California (of course, I’m biased because that’s where Caryn and I attend). We love this church! If you live in the Orange County area, come check out Journey. Click here. |

Next, if you’ve always wanted to improve your drawing and sketching abilities but haven’t been successful yet, check out art professor Dr. Betty Edward’s book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.” I’m convinced that this is the best instructional drawing book ever created! Through her simple, but unusual methods, you’ll learn to use the right-half of your brain for drawing, which is the creative part of your brain. You’ll be drawing like a pro, and you’ll learn some interesting theories on creativity! Click here. |

Also, check out this fun book about creativity and the creative process. A friend gave it to me several years ago, and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. It’s called “Thinking for a Living: Creating Ideas That Revitalize Your Business, Career & Life” by creative-thinker and advertising executive Joey Reiman. It covers: · How great ideas influence our society and our lives · Examples of people who have come up with good ones · And how to produce more and better “ideas.” Buy it here. |

Finally, here’s something for you creative intellectuals. Take a look at the subject of “Golden Ratios,” which provides an interesting look into the science of aesthetics (among other things). The proportions identified by this ancient ratio are found throughout nature, the human body, the dimensions of the ancient pyramids, the parthenon, and the Mona Lisa (to name a few things). This area of design theory can get a little heady, but is nonetheless fascinating, and more importantly, practical! In fact, we designed our main studio room according to Golden Ratio proportions and, sure enough, it sounds better than any other rooms in which we’ve worked! Put on your propeller hats and check it out here. |
